The sun's opalescent reflection on snow, the palest blue shadows defining downy contours of clouds, the faint green undercurrent at the heart of a majestic calla lily...
Nature's whites are almost always imbued with subtle pastels. If these images command your attention, you are not alone... whites and pastels are among the most popular colours in interior decoration. That is why I carefully selected these delicate pastels for our White Spaces Harmony Collection. Their success lies in their ability to establish a lingering colour, while retaining the openness, lightness and space of whites and neutrals. In their palest versions, they are quietly suggestive... yellows smile with optimism, blues mist your space with a calming wash, and graceful pinks blush, evoking whispers of romance and tenderness.
The subtleties of pastels can prove difficult to capture, and I recommend testing; when choosing a pastel, go with your instincts - then one shade paler - since its hue is intensified on a grand scale. Be aware of the darkest colour on your chip - it is the origin of your choice, and can often surprise you. Finally, test a spot on your wall and experience your perfect pastel all day and into the night, so that its true character, and yours, is revealed.
