The Paint Café Colour-Perfect Gradation System
When choosing colours to repaint a room, it is important that you take into account the attributes of the different colours you wish to co-ordinate. Those attributes include hue, saturation and brightness. Indeed, two hues with the same degree of brightness and saturation will harmonize better than two that lack the same level of saturation and brightness. Paint Café simplifies this process with colour swatches arranged in perfect and regular gradation, ranging from the lightest hues to the darkest, from the most grey-tinted to the brightest, always in even levels of saturation and brightness. This innovative approach to colour systems offers the ultimate in accuracy and colour fidelity never before available.
The Paint Café display is divided into three sections that address all needs: The Essentials in the centre, Simply Pastel on the sides, and The Harmony Collection™ at the bottom. Just follow the guide!
The Essentials
The Paint Café colour display is a treat to the eye. The Essentials, at the centre portion of the display, is our exclusive collection, developed from a bank of colours carefully selected by CMG (Colour Marketing Group) colour experts. This selection process allows you to select colours you will easily find in wallpapers, upholstery fabrics, carpeting and trendy decorative accessories.

The Paint Café simplifies your task by offering each of the magnificent hues of The Essentials in three versions: Vivid, the saturated hue, True, the somewhat unsaturated hue, and Refined the most unsaturated hue. If you use more than one colour, choose them all from within one section e.g. True. This way, you will be assured of optimum compatibility in degree of saturation of the colours you will use.

Note: In time, many find unsaturated hues such as those in the Refined section easier to live with. This is an important detail if you are planning to keep the same colours for an extended period.
Simply Pastel
Simply Pastel is found on either side of the display. On the left are pure pastels that remain true to the original pigments and are more saturated. On the right are subtle pastels or slightly unsaturated hues, for those in need of a more complex palette.
The Harmony Collection™
You will find the Harmony Collection at the bottom of the Paint Café display. We have created it to simplify your life by offering you carefully harmonized and balanced colour combinations.
The Collection includes eight colour themes: Water Beads™ (the blue family), Al fresco™ (the green family), Almonds & Honey™ (the yellow family), Desert Spice™ (the orange family), Morning Rose™ (the pink family), Pop Art™ (vivid palette), Tapestry & Mosaic™ (exotic palette), and Leather, Stone & Wood™ (natural palette). For each theme or family, we have selected some arrangements of hues that harmonize perfectly. There are five or eight per family. We call them Harmony Cards.

The Harmony Collection also includes Inspiration Sheets that are chockfull of decorating tips and photos of decors that illustrate how to use Harmony Collection colour combinations.
