The patina on the walls

The patina on the walls of this bathroom is easy to achieve and adds a touch of history to these elegant hues.

Quantities of paint necessary:
Paint Café-approved latex paints, Velvet finish:
	Summer Linen C119-10:		1 litre
	Cotton Twill C119-10:		1 litre
ILLUSIO products:
	Mascarade Glaze 8563-22:		4 litres

Technique for the patina:

1. First, use a roller to paint the wall in Cotton Twill.



2. Blend 3 parts Mascarade Glaze to 1 part Summer Linen.



3. After dipping a paint brush in the Glaze mix, apply it, tapping gently over the wall with the tip of the brush. (Tip: use an old brush. Older, drier, more “spread out” bristles will achieve a greater effect than a new bristles.)



4. Tap the surface gently with a cloth in order to gently blend and partially remove some of the Glaze that was applied in Step 3.
