Nature: a limitless source of inspiration...

The flaming colours of an autumn landscape, the tender green of spring foliage, the fiery pinks of a setting sun, and the dazzling blue of a summer sky are some of the combinations of spectacular colours Nature offers as inspiration to professional and amateur decorators alike.

When scenery pleases you, take the time to really observe its lush display of colours, and note which colours appeal to you the most. You’ll notice that certain combinations seem daring, at least at first glimpse. But, as daring as they may be, Nature’s palettes almost always complement each other perfectly. They are sometimes vibrant, sometimes subtle and oftentimes peaceful. But always, they are well balanced.

At the Paint Café, nature’s themes and palettes were a constant source of inspiration. Memories of a walk in the forest, the power of the ocean, or the delight of a blooming garden are all associated with vivid recollections of colour; as a result, memories of these breathtaking days often form the basis of new palettes for our Harmony Collection.

Thus, it was the memory of an autumn vacation in the mountains that inspired our H204 palette.

 

Nature also offers numerous soft, beautiful neutral colours.

The H305 palette is a good example.

 

Flowers, whether pale or vivid, are an endless source of inspiration... the hues in palette H507 evoke them with all their softness.
